The Art World
This project was developed as part of an editorial design assignment focused on creating a magazine article composed of 2-3 spreads using a consistent typographic system. The objective was to design distinct layout proposals for the same article while maintaining the same typefaces, exploring different grid structures, image placements, and page compositions. The project emphasized the development of a versatile editorial system that demonstrates strong typographic hierarchy and clear organization across multiple pages. The resulting designs balance imagery and text through flexible column grids, varied margins, and carefully scaled typography that guide the reader smoothly through the content. These layouts are effective because they maintain clarity and rhythm while allowing visual variation across spreads, ensuring that the design remains engaging without sacrificing readability. The final outcome presents a cohesive editorial system that supports both narrative content and visual storytelling, offering a structured yet adaptable framework appropriate for contemporary magazine publishing.
